Red Rover Mine
Henry T. Gage, Governor of California from 1899 to 1903 and a political ally of Republican President Teddy Roosevelt,
owned some of the most productive gold mines in the Santa Clarita Valley. Among them was the Red Rover Mine,
located in Soledad Canyon near Acton. Facilities included mill, assay office, boarding house and a cyanide leaching plant.
