Quartz Hill California (pop: 10,910) is located just west of Palmdale and Lancaster in the western part of Antelope Valley.

This town use to thrive on rural agriculture such as almonds, alfalfa and poultry. This economy has been decimated by rising water costs. Now most residents are employed are nearby aerospace facilities.
