55% of all roses grown in the United States are grown in and around Wasco.
Over 50 million plants are grown in the area by more than 9 major rose companies.
Fort Tejon Living History Days
1st Saturday of each month
Restored U.S. Army Dragoon post dating back to 1854-64. The troops were responsible for the security of Southern California.
Also home to the experimental U.S. Camel Corps. There are restored adobes from the original fort and the park’s museum features exhibits on army life
and local history. The park also has a number of beautiful 400 year-old valley oak trees. See living history days and civil war battle reenactments.
