Aviation Museum housed at Minter Field, famous WWII airbase. The base was a major basic training facility where nearly 12,000 pilots received basic training in BT-13s, UC-78's, AT-6s, P-38s and B-25s. The field is known for many restoration companies who specialize in Warbirds and Antiques. Historic aircraft include Stearmans, Ryans, Stinsons, North American AT-6s, and Harvard, and a P-51 Mustang. Minter Field is the home of Air Race Champions which are included in tours.

Lake Woollomes County Park
This 455 acre lakefront park surrounds Lake Woollomes, an equalizing reservoir for the Friant-Kern Canal, which is used for irrigation of the surrounding fields. The waters attract as many ducks, geese and other waterfowl as people along its three mile shoreline. The surrounding area includes almond groves and grape vineyards.
Buttonwillow Raceway Park
This motorsports park hosts many racing and training events open to the public like Performance Driving Clinics and events for Motorcycle Racing, Vintage vehicles, Club Racing and Go Karts. This facility has over 20 different track configurations and over three miles of raceway.
Auto Club Famoso Raceway - McFarland CA
Abondoned WWII airbase that was converted to drag racing venue. Today it hosts several major racing events that are primarily nostalgic hot rods and dragsters.
