Welcome to Pismo Beach
This area originally gained fame as home for the Pismo Clam, a mullosk that use to thrive in the hundreds of thousands along the beaches here. However overharvesting have seriously depleted supply and now their is a fishing limit of only 10 clams per day. Local groves are the winter home to thousands of Monarch Butterflies, some of which come from as far as Canada.

Location: Alongside Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) in Oceano;
Popular beach activities include hiking, swimming, surf fishing, and digging for the famous Pismo clam. There are tree-lined dunes and the beach is popular with bird watchers. The park has the largest over-wintering colony of monarch butterflies in the U.S. Wi-fi service upto 150 foot range from the park restaurant.

Public Golfing on the Pacific Coast on this public 9-hole 3-par course with putting and pitching green. This location is popular for a beachfront wedding venue where you can avoid getting sand in your shoes.

Oceano Dunes SVRA
Only state park where vehiciles drive onto the beach sand. Over 5.5 miles of beachfront for popular activities such as surfing, swimming, surf fishing, horseback riding, nature trails, camping and bird watching.
