1. Budget Reform
Why can't our state government lift one finger to stop wasteful spending?
(Their solution is always to raise taxes.)
2. Pension Reform
Currently this biggest ripoff in California is driving many state and local government agencies broke.
3. Immigration Reform
Other border states are suing the Federal Government to recoup their losses from failed immigration policies.
Where is our State Attorney General? (Oh, he is too busy campaigning to become state governor.)
3B. Border Security
4. Currupt Politicians
Why did it take so long to cover the Bell 8? How many more similar cases are there?
Where is our State Attorney General? (Oh, he is too busy campaigning to become state governor.)
5. Education Reform
California has the 2nd highest paid teachers in the nation - yet some of the worse test scores.
Why is that state public education system anti-choice and anti-student oriented?
Why are bad teachers protected and good teachers punished? (It's the Public Employee Unions.)
Other states are starting push forward pension reform and restricting union collective bargaining rights.
6. Prison Reform
The California State Prison system costs twice as much as the Federal System and most other states.
But many of the prisoners are not even Californians.
(It a wreck combining the Public Employee Unions, Pension Reform and failed immigration policies.)
7. State Parks, Beaches and Historic Sites
Curiously the first item threatened by most governors in balancing their budgets. Yet it is one of the smaller items.
8. Corruption of Public Morality
Combatting the harmful influences of Hollywood and Silicon Valley - Oh wait, they are both based in California!
9. Choice and Public Health
Should government combat the obesity epidemic by restricting public food choices or rewarding exercise and healthy lifestyles?
If I exercise regularly, eat right, don't smoke or use harmful drugs and am always in good health, then why are my health insurance premiums
the same as someone who never exercises, eats junk, dopes up and is a physical mess because of it?
10. State Healthcare Reform
11. State Welfare Reform
State unemployment greatly exceeds the national average.
If state welfare benefits payout at nearly the same rate as a paycheck from a job - why should I go to work if I can the same amount
of money from the state without working?
12. Balancing the Budget
The foundation of any well-run business is their income producing assets. The public should be very concerned when any government
threatens to sell their best assets as short term budget trick to balance the budget. a) It will take away from future year
revenues and b) They always set the sales price way too low.
13. More Balancing the Budget
Why are our politicians always so quick to try to raise taxes but slow to cut spending to fix the deficit?
14. Assert State Rights
What happened to the political principle of self-determination? In too many cases the federal government interferes in state politics
to the detriment of each state. Why is there a federal agency for education or the interior?
Aren't these matters best left to the individual states?
14. Tax Reform
In the last 40 years there have only been two tax reduction propositions on the budget - and both were very popular with the voters?
Why haven't our taxpayer organizations pushed more such propositions to the state voters? (The legislature certainly won't do it.)
