Welcome to Lower Lake

Lower Lake is home to the Lower Lake Stone Jail. Built in 1876 from locally quarried stone, it is claimed to be the smallest jail in the United States.

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park - Clearlake CA

This is a large park preserving the native ancestral home of the ancient Pomo indians who lived here nearly 10,000 years ago. The park also has a number of nature trails to explore the surrounding grass-covered hills, oak woodlands and tule marsh. Other highlights include the historic Anderson Ranch and the annual Bluegrass Festival held the second weekend of September.
