    Welcome to Big Bear Lake

    Big Bear Lake, surrounded by the San Bernadino National Forest, is a mountain resort community, 100 miles Northeast of Los Angeles. The Lake is eight miles long, Altitude ranges from 6,750 to 9,000 feet.

    The San Bernardino Mountains accumulate close to 120 inches of snow every season. Most resorts are augmented with 100% snowmaking capabilities. There are many opportunities for skiing, snowboarding, family funzones, skate parks, scenic trails and much more. You can find lesson programs for all levels of skill. Elevations range betweeen 6750 to 9000 feet. Winter temperatures usually range from daytime low 40s to nighttime mid 20s.

    Also known as the Big Bear Zoo, this facility is combination of zoo and animal rehabilitation center that rescues injured or orphaned wildlife that is unable to survive in the wild. Over 80 animal species live at the zoo including bear, wildcats, reptiles, coyotes, porcupine, skunks, deer, bison, eagles, owls and more. This zoo is one of only two alpine zoos in the country. t
