    Camp Tahquitz - Barton Flats - LBAC

    Since opening in 1959, scouts have camped at this square mile reserve (640 acres) of pristine forest land in the San Bernardino Mountains. Found at the 6500-foot elevation among rolling meadows, cedars, firs, oaks and some of the world's tallest Ponderosa Pines. In addition to the usual camp buildings, shooting ranges, pool and lake, facilities include a number of secluded outpost camps, a wide-ranging orienteering course, a COPE course, and four historic log cabins that have been preserved and adapted for use as program centers. Its location on the edge of the San Gorgonio Wilderness Area offers many opportunities for challenging hikes through the magnificent backcountry. The camp is accessible year-round for groups of all sizes, offering plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. The camp gets snow roughly mid-December to March.

    Located on Naples Island in scenic Alamitos Bay, and in a beautiful corner of the marina, next to "Mother's Beach" and near the Long Beach Yacht Club.
    SSS Conquest - Home port for Sea Scout Ship 564

    Since at least 1958, the 11-acre Will J. Reid Scout Camp (located in Long Beach) has been a close-to-home activity base for thousands of Scouts and Scouters who have used the Training Center, swimming pool, picnic area and overnight campsites. The campfire bowl is a memorable spot for unit campfire programs. The camp facilities include a dining hall and a full kitchen which are frequently used for Blue & Gold Banquets and Eagle Scout Courts of Honor. Some of the Council activities held at Will J. Reid Scout Park are Cub Scout Day Camp and Huck Finn Day, and Tribe of Tahquitz meetings.

    S.S.S. Conquest - Crew 564 - LBAC
    Discover the fun and excitement of Sea Scouting. Sea Scouts is a first-class boating adventure for young adults ages 14 through 20. As a member of the Sea Scout Ship Conquest, you will receive expert training in Seamanship, Navigation, Rules of the Road, Safety, First Aid, Swimming, Small and Large Boat Handling, Sailing, Canoeing, Water Skiing, Windsurfing, Marlinespike, and Boat Construction, Maintenance, and Repairs. We cruise to Avalon, the Isthmus, Emerald Bay, Catalina Harbor, and other parts of Catalina Island. Our Sea Scouts have cruised as far North as Alaska, and as far South as Scammons Lagoon in Baja, Mexico.

    The Tribe of Tahquitz is one of the few surviving local Boy Scout honor societies in the United States that have not been absorbed by the Order of the Arrow. The organization was created in 1925 and consistes of a perpetual volunteer summer camp staff at Camp Tahquitz. The tribe is particularly known for the Indian lore ceremonies that its members perform throughout the year at Scouting and civic group meetings. The tribe exists only in the Long Beach Area Council, but has many "out of council" members, from California to New York, and beyond.

    Firestone Scout Reservation - Diamond Bar [LAAC] BSA Los Angeles Area Council Scout Camp
    Firestone Scout Reservation is nestled in Tonner Canyon just east of SR-57 between Brea and Diamond Bar, California. Facilities include wilderness trails, archery and gun range, orienteering, camping and wildlife. Popular large outdoor wilderness that is freeway accessible to most of Southern California. Firestone has sites for small groups as well as those needing space for over 1,000 people.

    Cabrillo Beach Youth Waterfront Sports Center [LAAC]
    In 1946, the LAAC leased the 12.3 acred Cabrillo Camp property. It is located at the base of the cliffs directly below Fort MacArthur. The camp was open to both Scouts and other youth groups and teaches aquatics related merit badges year-round. In the late 70s, the Port of Los Angeles granted the scouts a long-term lease. In 1987, the Spielberg Center donationa added a swimming pool, campgrounds, dining area, craft center, Scout Shop, staff quarters, boat house and amphitheater.
