Boy Scouts - The LDS Church supports cub packs, scout troups and related scouting activities. Open to all young men ages 8-18.
Youth Activities - Weekly activity night, scouts, campouts, weekend dances, seminary gospel study, summer camps and more for youths 8-18.
Sports - Most LDS churchs have indoor basketball or volleyball recreation court that are used
for informal and league games and practices on a weekly basis.
Relief Society (LDS Women's Organization) - very active in local service projects and promoting healthy family life.
Oakland California Temple
A familiar East Bay landmark is the 170-foot Oakland Temple.
This modern Mormon five-spire temple design features a Oriental Motif and a exterior finish of white Sierra granite.
On site is a public visitors' center with an inspiring reproduction of Thorvaldsen's Christus statue.
Also on the grounds is the East Bay Interstake Center—open to any who wish to attend Sunday services.

Sacramento Mormon Temple

The 123rd operating temple of the LDS Church features a classic-modern, single-spire design built
with a light gray granite exterior on a site just outside Sacramento overlooking Lake Natoma.
The 47-acre hilltop property is surrounded by majestic oak trees with scenic views of the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains.
This temple was dedicated in September 2006 by President Gordon B Hinckley.

The Boys Scouts of America is a highly successful youth organization that motivates young men and women to build character by honoring
their duty to self, to God and to country through outdoor activity, service, recreation and education. Cub and Troop programs are oriented
for young boys only while older aged (14-20) boys and girls may participate in coed varsity and venturer programs.
