    Fresno California Temple

    Dedicated: 09-Apr-2000 as the 78th Operating Temple of the LDS Church and serves the temple district which comprises the Fresno, Fresno East, Fresno North, Fresno West, Hanford, Modesto, Porterville and Visalia stakes.

    Oakland California Temple
    A familiar East Bay landmark is the 170-foot Oakland Temple. This modern Mormon five-spire temple design features a Oriental Motif and a exterior finish of white Sierra granite. On site is a public visitors' center with an inspiring reproduction of Thorvaldsen's Christus statue. Also on the grounds is the East Bay Interstake Center—open to any who wish to attend Sunday services.

    Sacramento California Temple
    The 123rd operating temple of the LDS Church features a classic-modern, single-spire design built with a light gray granite exterior on a site just outside Sacramento overlooking Lake Natoma. The 47-acre hilltop property is surrounded by majestic oak trees with scenic views of the nearby Sierra Nevada mountains.

    Located at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the Family History Center welcomes the public. The Family History Centers are dedicated to Family History and Genealogical Research. Volunteers are available to provide free assistance. A variety of classes for beginners and FHC User Groups meet regularly.

    The FHC needs volunteers to help create a digital index for the newly released 1940 US Census and other important historical records.
