Dunsmuir (pop 1920 / elev 2280)is a major Northern California tourism hub. Visitors find opportunities for recreational adventure.

Visitors come to enjoy trout fishing in the Sacramento and McCloud Rivers, or to see and climb Mount Shasta, Castle Crags or the Trinity Alps.
