Yreka Western Railroad
The Blue Goose - Scenic Excursion Train
Steam locomotive #19, a 1915 Baldwin pulls vintage 1920's passenger cars on a three-hour
round trip excursion. Excursion's depart from the 1889 Yreka Depot and run
up the Shasta River Valley to Montague Railroad Museum.
Passengers are treated to the unique sights, sound and smell that only
a steam locomotive can produce.
Tour Klamath National Forest
1,700,000-acres federal forest reserve in Siskiyou County (CA) and Jackson County (OR).
In the lower elevations, you'll find park-like stands of Ponderosa Pine trees, while in the
higher elevations, the Douglas fir, sub-alpine fir and mixed conifer stands beg to be explored.
With mountain rivers meandering from one end of the Forest to the other, recreationists have found a
playground that can meet the desires of all. This beautiful Forest is a haven for campers,
hikers, wildlife watchers, hunters, fishermen, mountains bikers, white water enthusiasts and naturalists.
Tour Pacific Crest Trail PCT
The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) is the jewel in the crown of America’s scenic trails, spanning 2,650 miles from Mexico to Canada.
Hikers cross the beauty of the desert, glaciated expanses of the Sierra Nevada,
and provides commanding vistas of volcanic peaks and glaciers in the Cascade Range.
The trail also passes through historic mining sites and evidence of human’s endless quest
for natural resources.
Shasta Sunset Dinner Train - Mt Shasta CA
Guests take a nostalgic three hour train ride through spectacular scenary featuring elegant dining aboard
restored vintage rail cars. Runs on the old McCloud River Railline (built in the 1890s)
that connected local sawmills to the Southern Pacific R.R.
Special events include the fall Pumpkin Trains and New Years Eve Dinner Train.
Siskiyou Ice Rink - Mt Shasta City
The rink is an outdoor facility, open as weather permits. Skate rentals are available at the rink.

Siskiyou County Museum - Yreka CA
Built in 1950 by the county to collect, preserve, disseminate and interpret the history of the area for future generations.
the Museum features exhibits detailing Siskiyou County's colorful history from Indian cultures to 20th century themes.
Sisson Museum
Mt Shasta Fish Hatchery
The museum building was erected in 1906 and served as the main hatchery building of the California Department
of Fish and Game Mount Shasta Fish Hatchery for nearly 72 years. Exhibits include fish and mineral displays.
Weed Historic Lumber Town Museum
The roots of this turn-of-the-century lumber town and its people are featured in exhibits that include logging and milling machinery,
early hospital equipment, blacksmithing tools, a stage coach, a home-made still from Prohibition days, and an operating 1923 fire engine.
Living Memorial Sculpture Garden - Klamath N.F.
War Veterans memorial, garden and wall founded by a group of veterans in 1968.
The trees are living tribute to those who have sacrificed their lives in war.
The LMSG pays homage to all honorable veterans, in conflict and in peace.
Fort Jones Outpost - Scott Valley
This historic landmark was an important out of the US Military in 1852-58.
It was garrisoned by Companies A & E, 1st Dragoons, to protect nearby mining towns from hostile Indian tribes.
