The roots of this turn-of-the-century lumber town and its people are featured in exhibits that include logging and milling machinery, early hospital equipment, blacksmithing tools, a stage coach, a home-made still from Prohibition days, and an operating 1923 fire engine. The museum is built on the site of the earliest courthouse; the booking room and two original jail cells are intact.
