About 5AM on Saturday, Feb 6th - Retaining Wall bursts and mud, debris and K-Rails slide downhill wrecking
numerous homes and cars in an unexpectedly heavy downpour. 400 plus homes in the area are ordered evacuated later in the day.
At least 41 homes have been damaged on the northern edge of Ocean View Boulevard near Manistee Drive in La Caņada Flintridge,
a neighborhood that was deluged by a river of mud, rocks and trees after being hit by the double blow of a collapsing hillside and an overflowing
debris basin in the midst of an unexpectedly powerful rainstorm.
