Located on a hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean at the junction of I-5 freeway and Palomar Airport Rd, the Flower Fields transform each year into a giant 50-acre rainbow of country when millions of brightly colored Ranunculus blossoms come to life. The Flower Fields is one of the very few places in the world where the general public is invited to walk down guided pathways. Guests experience the brilliant yellow, orange, soft rose, pink, red and white flowers glistening in the sun.

The Flower Fields also include a majestic rose garden and a wide range of flowering garden plants for sale. There are also some unique art projects onsite for public viewing.

Floral cultivation in Carlsbad was started in 1923 by Luther Gage and Frank Frazee. World leading producer of thousands of ranunculus. Nearby fields produce upto 90 percent of the world's flowering poinsettia plants.

Flower Capital of the World - Encinitas CA
Encinitas is famous as the "Flower Capital of the World" and is home to an extensive collection of fine nurseries and gardens. Several of these wholesalers and retailers will ship fresh cut flowers to any destination in the world. This industry started with the poinsettias of Paul Ecke Ranch and has since grown to include many horticulture greenhouse operations.



Museum of Making Music - Carlsbad Ranch
Exhibits date back to 1890 to trace this history of innovations in popular music. Over rare 450 musical instruments on display in a 6,500 sq. ft. exhibit space divided into five major themes.

Tour Legoland California
Only themepark of its kind in America, over 40 major rides and attractions in the bright Legobrick colors. Designed primarily to give a fun educational play experience to young children ages 2-12. The many attractions, rides, shows and play areas feature the bright cheerful Lego colors and toys. Annual event since 1978 with over 400 special vendors presenting music, arts and crafts. This premier North County holiday shopping event features the Flower Capital Pavilion and toga parade.
