In the California Center for the Arts, Escondido Museum, patrons can experience original and inspiring exhibitions in one of the
premier visual arts venues in San Diego County. Since its inception, the Museum’s mission has
focused on presenting and collecting the work of local American and Mexican artists.
The Museum has three main galleries, 1,538-seat concert hall and 408-seat theater and an outdoor sculpture court.
Includes a museum and civic center banquet facilities.
California Surf Museum - Downtown Oceanside
Founded in February 1986 - the California Surf Museum presents standing displays of surfing equipment and photographs.
Every six months it introduces a new feature exhibit highlighting one of the pioneering legends
of the surfing world. The museum also retails surfing-related merchandise.

first library, a barn, windmill, Victorian house, and also the 1888 Santa Fe Railroad depot with model
train and working blacksmith shop.
Landing Craft Museum - Camp Pendleton
The World War II and Korea LVT Museum is located in Building 21561 in the base's boat basin and is maintained by the
Assault Amphibious School Battalion. To visit the vintage amphibious tracked vehicles, related artifacts and informational displays contact the school at 725-2195.
The museum is normally open Tuesdays through Sundays in the early afternoons.

The Ranch House Complex - Camp Pendleton
Historic Home of Governor Pio Pico
Includes the Ranch House Chapel, the oldest structure on the base, the Bunkhouse Museum, dedicated in 1965 by Col James Roosevelt,
and the Ranch House, built in the mid 1800s. It was the home of Pio Pico, last Mexican governor of California, and succeeding
owners Don Juan Forster, the O'Neills, Floods, Baumgartners and, finally, the United States Government.
Rancho Guajome Adobe - Guajome Park
Museum and adobe building built circa 1850 by the original Mexican land grant owners.
The rancho’s centerpiece was its adobe home. At nearly 7000 square feet and containing 28 rooms, it was certainly an imposing dwelling.

San Pasqual Battlefield - State Historic Site & Museum
Battle Re-enactment held in early December;
Memorial to honor those who participated in the San Pasqual Battle of
the Mexican-American War that was fought at this spot in 1846. The
battle was fought Mexico and the advanced contingent of Gen. Stephen Kearney's
US Army of the West.
