    Dos Picos County Park - Rosemont CA
    County operated picnic grounds and campground named for two nearby peaks that are easily accessible by a good hike. This park features abundant oaks and mountain terrain. Local inhabitants include coyote, fox, possum, skunk, and raccoon and a large number of birds including great blue herons, great egrets, and several species of ducks can be found on the pond.

    Mount Gowar County Open Space Preserve
    Located east of Ramona - this area has a few hiking trails that ascend Mount Gowar. Suitable for various forms of non-motorized recreation.
