Boys Scouts of America is a highly successful youth organization
that motivates young men and women to build character by honoring
their duty to self, to God and to country through outdoor activity, service, recreation and education.
Cub and Troop programs are oriented for young boys only while older aged (14-20) boys and girls
may participate in coed varsity and venturer programs.

OCBSA New Leader Training
This Boy Scout Council is big and rambunctious, offering a wide range of Scouting activities. There are three Council Camps
and great resources that include world renowned educational institutions, legendary community programs, sporting events,
mountains with wild areas, fascinating history and opportunities for Scouts of all ages, backgrounds and interests.
The council was officially organized in 1919, and has since served over one million youth in the area.

Firestone Scout Reservation is nestled in Tonner Canyon just east of SR-57 between Brea and Diamond Bar, California.
Facilities include wilderness trails, archery and gun range, orienteering, camping and wildlife.
Popular large outdoor wilderness that is freeway accessible to most of Southern California.
Firestone has sites for small groups as well as those needing space for over 1,000 people.
Intimate tree covered settings to large open fields await to provide the perfect private location for your activity.
Facilities are available for use by registered BSA groups, and other non-profit groups serving youth,
including Girl Scouts, Schools, and Church groups.
Newport Seabase - OCBSA

A Youth Maritime Center for the Community. This facility, located on 400 feet of Newport Beach
Waterfront, first opened in 1937.
It features a fleet of boats includes kayaks, canoes, rowboats and over 3 dozen sailboats.
It is also home to several Sea Scout Ships, as well as the Chapman University Crew Team.
In 2002, the Sea Base began to transform this facility into a modern teaching and aquatics center.

Schoepe Lost Valley Scout Reservation

One of the best BSA Summer Camps in California, Lost Valley is located in the remote northeast corner
of the San Diego County Wilderness near Warner Springs. It actually consists of two seperate Camp Operations.
It is a rustic wilderness camp with 1,400 acres of oak, pine and chaparral, bordered by the Cleveland National Forest.
The camp has 22 new cabins, two swimming pools, a three-acre lake, rifle, archery and shotgun ranges, horse stables,
a mountain bike center, an observatory, two handicraft centers, an Indian Village with an active archaeological dig and a nature center.
Two dining halls, Beckman Hall and Casey Lodge, provide Scouts with meal service.
Scouts can also participate in High Adventure programs, with challenges ranging from rock climbing and rappelling to black powder shooting and COPE.
Unique merit badge opportunities include horsemanship, astronomy, forestry, mountain biking, and rifile shooting.
Oso Lake Boy Scout Camp OCBSA

Located on the boarder of Mission Viejo, Oso Lake features a 100-acre lake and 15 acres of land which is surrounded by O'Neil Regional Park.
The Oso Lake facility is currently available for open camping and the council offers organized
weekend programs geared towards Webelos Scouts through First Class.
The Oso Reservoir is the perfect venue for Scouts to enjoy catch-and-release bass fishing, canoeing and rowing.
The facilities feature a small archery range, large camping areas (perfect for first time campers), a multi-level pavilion and amphitheater.
