Mission San Juan Capistrano
A number of special events and festivals take place regularly at this historic Orange County landmark.

• Return of the Swallows - March 17th (traditional) - Festivities include Pageantry, the traditional bell ringing at the sight of the first swallows, colorful entertainment, and tasty ethnic foods and live music.
• Living History Day - 2nd Sat Monthly - Take a step back in time and experience the romance of the Mission! Individuals portrayed, include Native Americans, founding padres, Soldiers or Leather jackets, Weavers and Gold Miners.
• Lincoln Celebration - Feb - The day recalls the signing of documents by President Abraham Lincoln in 1865 deeding the Mission back to the Catholic Church.
• Annual Flower & Garden Festival - June - This popular event, held on the lush ten-acre grounds of historic Mission San Juan Capistrano features over seventy vendors/exhibitors of flowers, plants, and garden items, as well as a variety of crafts and fine art. Music, seminars, and food round out the day, so even non-gardeners will enjoy this event!

  Pageant of the Masters [JUL-AUG]
  Festival of Arts - Laguna Beach
  This is by far one of the most inspiring art festivals in California with live pageant performances every evening, and daytime outdoor fine art collection. Most famous event in Laguna Beach for nearly 70 years featuring the works of over 160 accomplished artists with workshops and demonstrations.

  Sawdust Art Festival - Laguna Beach [JUL-AUG]
  More than 175 local artists invite visitors to stroll along sawdust-covered paths through a village of fine arts and superb crafts. Since 1966 this event has drawn visitors from around the world who are looking for one-of-a-kind artwork, including paintings, jewelry, ceramics, photographs, sculptures, hand-blown glass and more. Meet and purchase directly from the artists! Varied demonstrations including glass blowing, complimentary art workshops, children's art activities, refreshments and live entertainment make this a memorable event.

  Anaheim Angels - [APR-SEP]
  Radically downsized to 45,000 seats and remodeled to allow easier internal circulation, the latest incarnation of Angels stadium features more and better suites and club seats and improved press facilities. Six immense baseball bats help hold up a curved beam over the main entrance creating an exciting pro baseball stadium experience.

  Jazz Festival - San Clemente
  The festival features Dixieland, Swing, Boogie-Woogie and Ragtime music with an all-star lineup of some of the best bands around. Dixieland Jazz by the Sea - Early May.

  San Clemente Ocean Festival [July]
  Greatest Show on Surf.
  Today this event attracts nearly 50,000 beachgoers for watersports, sand artwork, concert, and beach fun competition.

  San Clemente Street Festival [AUG]
  25,000 visitors converge on scenic Avenida Del Mar for a block party of family fun, entertainment, salsa tasting and the Classic Car & Harley Bike show.

  San Clemente Sea Fest [Early Oct]
  The Seafest features Chowder Cook-off, Fisherman’s Lobster, T. Patterson Surf Shop, Business Exposition, Arts & Craft Show, Entertainment provided by the Gemtones and a U.S. Coast Guard Search & Rescue Demo Operation all taking place at the historic San Clemente Pier area.
