La Casa Pacifica - San Clemente CA
This Mansion located on the beaches of San Clemente overlooking the Ocean was famous as President Richard Nixon's Western White House, used while working away from the official presidential residence, the White House. The large, Spanish-style ,California Mission Revival mansion was modeled after a country home in Spain, built in the early days of San Clemente.

Chet Holifield Federal Building - Laguna Niguel
In 1971, a one-million square-foot ziggurat building, originally built for Rockwell International and presently owned by the United States government. It is home to millions of microfilms as documents of land agreements between American and the original Indian Tribes of the southwest United States. Other Federal Units based here include:

• Western Regional Department of Homeland Security
• California Service Center of the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services.
• The National Archives and Records Administration, Pacific Region is housed here and is the busiest genealogical research organization out of NARA's nine regional facilities in the United States.
