In the most northern part of California, surrounded by giant Redwoods, the crystal clear Smith River, and the Pacific Ocean you will find the Del Norte County Fairgrounds.

This year round facilities play host to a variety of special events: home shows, craft shows, destruction derbies, concerts, car shows, dances, banquets, and livestock shows. In addition, it has been used by hundreds of couples for weddings, receptions, and anniversaries. The Fairgrounds is also available for company parties, family reunions, and company training seminars.

Includes fair, carnival rides, livestock shows, activities and entertainment. Special events include Miss Del Norte Pageant, CCPRA Rodeo, Music Concerts, Demolition Derby. This annual fair event serves to showcase the agricultural, horticultural, livestock, domestic art, mechanical and industrial products of the region.

The Redwood Coast covers much of Del Norte County and surrounding areas in the far northwest corner of the State of California on the Pacific adjacent to the Oregon border. Notable for its "everyday" wonders, in particular the giant Coast Redwoods, with heights reaching over 350 feet, scores of unique plants and flowers, dozens of species of coastal birds, rocky, primitive beaches and sea stacks, pristine rivers, and historic lighthouses.



Redwood National Park
The Redwood National and State Parks (RNSP) features an impressive diversity of nature. Considered as one of the most unique ecosystems on our planet where there is a serene balance between ancient coast redwood groves, gray whales, black bears, banana slugs and much more. Includes Del Norte, Jedediah Smith and Prairie Creek Redwoods State Parks. Visit the world famous Redwood groves containing the largest redwoods.

Six Rivers National Forest - Crescent City
Six Rivers National Forest lies east of Redwood State and National Parks in northwestern California, and stretches southward from the Oregon border for about 140 miles. It encompasses 957,590 National Forest acres and 133,410 acres of other ownership.

Tour Klamath National Forest
1,700,000-acres federal forest reserve in Siskiyou County (CA) and Jackson County (OR). In the lower elevations, you'll find park-like stands of Ponderosa Pine trees, while in the higher elevations, the Douglas fir, sub-alpine fir and mixed conifer stands beg to be explored. With mountain rivers meandering from one end of the Forest to the other, recreationists have found a playground that can meet the desires of all. This beautiful Forest is a haven for campers, hikers, wildlife watchers, hunters, fishermen, mountains bikers, white water enthusiasts and naturalists.

Pelican Beach California
Pelican Beach offers beautiful ocean views from its undeveloped location next to the Oregon border. The beach has the distinction of being the northern-most state beach.

Tolowa Dunes State Park
This park takes in some of the finest wetlands habitat on California’s northern coast. This is an ancient sand dune complex that has evolved into several distinct ecological communities.
