Trees of Mystery - Klamath CA
This is an 8/10ths of a mile groomed interpretive trail through the awe-inspiring Redwoods of
Northern California. Part of the trail (The Trail of Tall Tales)is devoted to the myth
and mythology of Paul Bunyan, America's larger-than-life logger from the turn of the century.
The trail, museum, gift shop, restaurant and motel are geared toward the family or group traveler.
Ocean World Aquarium - Crescent City CA
Private aquarium built on a barge in 1964 and since moved to land. Over a half million gallons of sealife exhibits
including sharks, sea lions, rays and wolf eels. Also look for the shark petting pool, tide pools and sea lion shows.
There is also the 45-minute guided tour.
Smith River National Recreation Area
The beautiful Smith River offers fishing for steelhead, trout, and salmon.
During the summer months, the pure, clean waters of the Smith River are perfect
for swimming, rafting, or fishing and the forested mountainsides present occasions
for hiking, bird watching, wildflower walks, or perhaps just lounging in the sun.
