Boys Scouts of America is a highly successful youth organization
that motivates young men and women to build character by honoring
their duty to self, to God and to country through outdoor activity, service, recreation and education.
Cub and Troop programs are oriented for young boys only while older aged (14-20) boys and girls
may participate in coed varsity and venturer programs.

This Boy Scout Council is big and rambunctious, offering a wide range of Scouting activities. There are three Council Camps
and great resources that include world renowned educational institutions, legendary community programs, sporting events,
mountains with wild areas, fascinating history and opportunities for Scouts of all ages, backgrounds and interests.
The council was officially organized in 1919, and has since served over one million youth in the area.

BSA Camp Fiesta Island
BSA Aquatics Summer Camp on Mission Bay
Located in Mission Bay at the San Diego Youth Aquatic Center - this facility
hosts weeklong summer camp programs for visiting boy scout troops with classes in
Sailing, Boardsailing, Motorboating, Kayaking, Model Rocketry, Swimming, Oceanography and other
classes not available at a typical boyscout mountain camp.

Mataquay Scout Ranch - BSA Summer Mountain Camp
Camp Mataguay is an 840 acre property of the San Diego - Imperial Council.
This year round facility is open to all Scouting units and other non-Scout organizations.
Camp facilities include lodges, cabins, and administration buildings that you can use for unit
training, center of operations, or just as a getaway spot.
Typical summer wilderness camp program features rifle, archery, swimming, camping, rock-climbing and handicrafts merit badge programs.
Popular unique programs here include a variety of rugged overnight trips, live AM radio station and glider rides for associated
merit badges.

Mission Trails Regional Park - Santee CA
With nearly 5,800 acres of both natural and developed recreational acres, the
rugged hills, valleys and open areas.
With over 40 miles of trails, boating on Lake Murray, camping at Kumeyaay Lake,
equestrian trails, and numerous informative hikes.
The Mission Gorge section provides the best rock-climbing experience in San Diego.
