Carmel Valley Racetrack & Fairgrounds

The Carmel Valley Fairgrounds was started in 1936 as a WPA project. Today it covers 360 acres and hosts more than 1 million visitors annually. Birch Aquarium - La Jolla
Located adjacent to the world-renown Scripps Institute of Oceanography this facility has large salt-water aquariums primarily dedicated to the study of both cold water and tropical water marine life of the Pacific Ocean.
