The Admin Department is located on board Naval Base (NAVBASE), San Diego in building 72.
The base is located south of Downtown San Diego at the foot of 32nd Street near National City.
Naval Base San Diego is a major port of the US Pacific Fleet with over 50 warships stationed there.
There are also 50 tenant commands at Naval Station. The 14 Piers cover 12 miles of bayfront.
Over 35,000 military and more than 7,000 civilians personel work here.
The major tenants include the Public Works Center, the Ship Intermediate Maintenance Activity, and the Fleet Training Center.
Navy Base San Diego has its beginnings with 97 acres of Marshland that was transfered to the
Navy back in 1920 for a destroyer base. Since then it has evolved into major modern military complex.

Naval Base Point Loma
Located at the mouth of San Diego harbor, Naval Base Point Loma comprises 316 acres on beautiful but rugged coastline,
although the main facilities are located on approximately 30 acres of relatively flat land. It has served primarily as a Submarine Base since
1959. Major warships based here is the Third Fleet command ship Coronado, and the five attack submarines of Submarine Squadron 11.

The Birthplace of US Naval Aviation
This base has a long famous history connected to naval aviation and has been a San Diego landmark for many years.
This US Navy Base is responsible to arm, repair, train, and supply some 140 tenant commands of the US Pacific Fleet.
It oversees several facilities including air base, aircraft carriers, amphibious base and several training installations.
Currently serves as home port for the USS Nimitz (CVN-68) and USS Reagan (CVN-76).

Special events include the Miramar Air Show, Navy Ship Parade, Ship Tours, Air Race, Coronado Speed Race, golf tournaments
and the MCRD Boot Camp Challenge. Proceeds from Fleetweek go to benefit the Armed Forces YMCA, Navy Marine Corps Relief Society
and The USO.

San Diego Aircraft Carrier Museum
The USS Midway was the longest-serving carrier in the history of the U.S. Navy. Today she has embarked as a museum, tribute and education center.
This museum features over 28 exhibits and excess to many important areas of this great warship.
Midway is available for a variety of military ceremonies including reenlistments, retirements, change of commands, promotions, pinnings, and commissionings.
