This is the honor camp group for VHC and travels to Council Scout Camps for service projects each summer. Today it has three regional chapters to serve its members. This group regular organizes events to the BSA High Adventure Triple Crown - Philmont, Florida Sea Base and Northern Tier.
Spe-Le-Yai Lodge #249 [VHC]
BSA Lodge Website National Quality Lodge was chartered on August 16, 1943 at Camp Bill Lane in the Big Tujunga Canyon. Spe-Le-Yai is the Shoshone word for the “Song of the Coyote.” The lodge totem is a coyote singing to the darkened sky. Their American Indian singing team, the “Coyote Singers” have performed at a large number of Conclave pow wow’s in the last 26 years, and several National conferences.

Camp Verdugo Oaks - VHC
BSA Wilderness Camp Camp Website; Camp Verdugo Oaks is located 45 minutes north of Glendale off I-5 at Templin Highway set among a stand of ancient California Live Oaks. The facility offers campsites, cabins, platform tents, and a rustic conference center with fully equipped kitchen. The camp can accommodate 175 people or more for an event or activity. CVO also offers a full range of program opportunities, including swimming pool, archery range, BB gun shooting, campfire amphitheater, sports, nature trail and so on.
Camp Silver Fir - VHC
BSA High Sierra Adventure Base Huntington Lake, Western Slope of Sierras, Camp Website; A base camp for units that want to mix the beauty and solitude of the western slopes of the High Sierras with the opportunity of carrying out their own high adventure program using their own leadership. Camp Silver Fir does not operate on sessions. Units can begin and end their stay on the days most suitable for their program. The season at Camp Silver runs from mid-June until mid-September.
Camp Josepho - WLACC
BSA Wilderness Camp 3000 Rustic Canyon Road, Pacific Palisades, CA 90272; 310-459-9093; Camp Website; Camp Josepho is nestled into remote Rustic Canyon near the beaches of Pacific Palisades and Malibu in the Santa Monica Mountains. Activity areas include an olympic size pool with flush toilets and hot showers, a separate range for BB shooting, rifle and archery and an outdoor setting for campfires, nature and Scoutcraft. The camp offers a traditional camp setting of years gone by featuring an old western style lodge and cow trails that follow the old creek bed to cozy campsites stretching through the canyon wilderness. El Dustberry has moved to Camp Josepho, offering Horsemanship Merit Badge, Equestrian Education, and Equine Therapy.
Camp Wolverton - WLACC
BSA High Sierra Adventure Camp Closed - Sept 2011 P.O. Box B, Sequoia National Park, CA 93262; 559-565-9989; Camp Website; Most people use it as a base camp prior to leaving on a long term hike - spending only a night or two in camp.
Pardee Sea Base - WLACC
13640 Mindanao Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292; 818-785-8700; Camp Website; Located in picturesque Marina Del Rey, adjoining Burton Chace Park. The base has become a center for outstanding and diverse programs ranging from harbor cruises, overnight camping and conducting Sea Camps to being a meeting place for local and regional conferences and seminars. Paddle Boats, Sailboats big and small, Kayaks, Rowboats, Canoes and Motorboats.
