.
There are a number of intervention models available for use by public and private schools to assist students challenged by learning disabilities such as ADD, ADHD and Autism. However, it appears that Most Schools Use the Least Effective Model. The various intervention models include: The Orton-Gillingham Model is used by most California School Districts but is the least effective - making it the most expensive. The program model mandates 350 sessions with a student in order to achieve anytype of significant result. Standard QEEG and Activation QEEG achieves far better results with as few as 40 student sessions. Studies in the Winter 2004 edition of Biofeedback newsletter shows that the QEEG programs are 77 times more efficient in helping students with learning disabilities. We encourage other parents of students with learning disabilities to contact their school district and the state board of education to further research upgrading the quality of special education programs in our state.
