• Home School Association of California - HSC - honors the diversity of homeschoolers supports and promotes the entire spectrum of homeschooling provides information monitors and influences legislation. Empowers families to make the choices that respect the rights, needs, and aspirations of their children.
• Christian Home Educators Association - CHEA - The Christian Home Educators Association of California is a non-profit ministry established in 1982 to provide information, support, and training to the home education community throughout the state.
• California Home School - CHS - serves to inform and empower homeschooling families, educate the public, and foster community among home educators in the state of California.

California Home School Athletics

• California Athletics - Sports Programs for Home Schoolers - created to meet the needs of home schooling families in the areas of competitive athletics and physical education. CAHS was founded by Todd Nash, a home schooling father in San Diego, and offers a variety of classes and competitive sports for all ages, and in most areas of California. Fundamentals of Sports classes are offered to home schooled children ages 5 to 18 to teach the basic individual skills of various sports. Competitive Sports Teams are also offered for home schooled students.

The Boys Scouts of America is a highly successful youth organization that motivates young men and women to build character by honoring their duty to self, to God and to country through outdoor activity, service, recreation and education. Cub and Troop programs are oriented for young boys only while older aged (14-20) boys and girls may participate in coed varsity and venturer programs.

California Home School Opportunities
Check local community colleges and youth groups for independent study special programs such as music ensembles, physical fitness facilities, performing arts, craftsmanship, etc. Under certain circumstances, colleges will accept youth as young as age 12 to get either high school or college credit in some course work and performing arts ensembles.
